In my most ambitious work (huge acrylic - 5 feet by 7 feet), this surreal self portrait takes place in a biological setting. I wanted to place myself amidst the landscapes and structures of past beginnings of life and the progression of life on earth through procreation and metamorphosized growth. I also place many hidden symbolisms that reflect my emtions, desires, visions, and the spiritual battles that take place when i work. I put every ounce of power into this creation and it completely drained me when i finished it. I had to recover for 2 weeks without doing anything before i could start painting again. I am very happy with the outcome and i consider this work very personal and immensely intense. The camera picture doesnt quite do it justice once again. But i hope you can get the ideas relatively well from this picture. Copyright 2005 imaginative pencil and myself. All rights reserved.
